Together with the universal Christian Church, Immanuel Lutheran Church (LCMS) teaches and responds to the love of the Triune God: the Father, Creator of all that exists; Jesus Christ, the Son, who became human to suffer and die for the sins of all human beings and to rise to life again in the ultimate victory over death and Satan; and the Holy Spirit, who creates faith through God's Word and Sacraments. The three persons of the Trinity are co-equal and co-eternal, one God.
Being "Lutheran," our congregation accepts and teaches Bible-based teachings of Martin Luther that inspired the reformation of the Christian Church in the 16th century. The teaching of Luther and the reformers can be summarized in three short phrases: Grace alone, Faith alone, Scripture alone.
GRACE ALONE - God loves the people of the world, even though they are sinful, rebel against Him and do not deserve His love. He sent Jesus, His Son, to love the unlovable and save the ungodly.
FAITH ALONE - By His suffering and death as the substitute for all people of all time, Jesus purchased and won forgiveness and eternal life for them. Those who hear this Good News and believe it have the eternal life that it offers. God creates faith in Christ and gives people forgiveness through Him.
SCRIPTURE ALONE - The Bible is God's inerrant and infallible Word, in which He reveals His Law and His Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ. It is the sole rule and norm for Christian doctrine.
The purpose of Immanuel Lutheran Church is to "declare the praises of Him who called [us] out of darkness into His marvelous light" (1 Peter 2:9). We have been brought out of the darkness of sin into the light of God's forgiveness in Jesus Christ.
Now, whatever we do, we want to "do it all for the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31). We are called to glorify God by "making disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19), "bearing much fruit" (John 15:8), and "loving one another as He loved us" (John 15:12). As a congregation, we are called not only to proclaim God's Word and administer the Sacraments (Baptism and Holy Communion), but gather together around God's Word and Sacrament in order to be strengthened for our task (Matthew 28:19-20; Romans 10:17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 10:24-25).

Immanuel is one body with many parts.
The Immanuel family is diverse. We are a family of all ages and from many backgrounds. We are fathers, mothers, grandparents, teens, children, infants, and generations yet to be born. We are teachers, farmers, homemakers, businessmen, nurses, caregivers, carpenters, coaches, company reps, volunteers, and students. We are all members of the Body of Christ - each with a role to play.
Many in the Immanuel family serve in the "mission fields" of home and community. Others hold office or serve on boards.
